I believe another term this dish goes by is Bread and Butter Pudding. As a child, I considered the concept of a pudding made of bread and butter to be most dubious. Then I accidentally had a bite of it once… I have since changed my opinion in a more favorable manner.
This post presents not only an exotic recipe but a rather interesting note about myself. I am a Parsi by birth, a descendent from the Persian race. Perhaps one of the smallest ethnicities in the world (I believe there are only 100,000 of us left in the world), we Parsi folk pride ourselves on our food and are known for the same. I hope to incorporate many an authentic dish on the site. This traditional Parsi breakfast shall be the first!
